December 7th - Stormy continues to be a very sweet, loving dog. She loves going for runs and playing at the dog park almost as much as she loves cuddling up on the couch with me. Stormy is still a very energetic dog and will need a home that can provide daily exercise, as well as be a firm leader with her when she gets a little too excited. She quickly calms down when told she is being too playful in the house, however. She is extremely intelligent and is becoming a very good listener as she matures. She does great with sit, stay, lay down, and kennel up. She LOVES playing the snow with her foster brother and would ideally go to a forever home that has another dog for her to play with.

July 30th - Stormy successfully passed her 8 week obedience class and is doing a fantastic job with her commands! She seems to really like pleasing me (and receiving treats for her good work, of course!). She really seemed to enjoy the class, so we might take the next level this fall if some lucky home hasn't adopted her by then. She also now walks like a nice young lady with very minimal pulling. Stormy continues to enjoy her runs with Lindsay from Run That Mutt and playing with her foster brother and the neighbor dogs. As a typical Lab mix, she thrives with daily interaction and exercise. Stormy would love to find an active forever home that can give her all the love she deserves!

May 26th - We successfully made it through Week 3 of Obedience Training. Stormy did a great job last night sitting, staying, and laying down! Good girl! We have been also working on heeling and not pulling when we walk as she does still get very excited at times, and we are doing much better! Stormy is a smart little girl and I think she will do very well by the time we are done with our 8 week class. The more I get to know Stormy, the sweeter I think she is. She really loves to cuddle and has a very cute personality. She really is going to make a great companion for someone.

Stormy is also scheduled to be spayed next week, and we will keep everyone posted on her recovery!

March 30th - Stormy is a very friendly, sweet Lab mix. We are estimating she is around 9 months old, so she is very energetic yet and would do best in an active household that can walk her or let her out to play daily. After playing outside or at the dog park, Stormy loves to cuddle by your feet with a chew toy or bone. She is both house trained and kennel trained, and we are working slowly on some commands. She has already picked up “Sit” and “Off” so I think she will do well as we progress with training. Stormy loves playing with the other two dogs in my home and is a little too interested in the cats right now. She is not aggressive with them; just wants to play but doesn’t seem to realize how much bigger she is. I think once she becomes used to cats and realizes they are not play things, she will be fine in a home with a cat.
